Receive God's Gift Of Salvation

Salvation

What Is Salvation?

At Faith Tabernacle Church of Spartanburg, we believe salvation is the greatest gift God offers—a restored, life‑giving relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Salvation isn’t about religion, rules, or trying to “be good enough.” It’s about God’s grace reaching toward us, transforming us from the inside out, and giving us a hope that lasts forever.

Why Do We Need Salvation?

God created every person to live in close fellowship with Him. But sin—our choice to go our own way instead of God’s—breaks that relationship (Romans 3:23). No amount of effort, morality, or good intentions can repair the separation. The result is spiritual emptiness and a life disconnected from the purpose God designed for us. Salvation is God’s answer to our deepest need.

God’s Rescue Plan

Because of His great love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us. Jesus lived a sinless life, willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and rose again in victory over death (Romans 5:8). His sacrifice removes the barrier between us and God. Through Jesus, every person—no matter their past—can experience forgiveness, freedom, and new life.

How Do I Receive Salvation?

Salvation is a gift. It cannot be earned, purchased, or achieved through good works. It is received by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9). To receive salvation is to trust Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and to surrender your life to Him. Scripture says that when you confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you are saved (Romans 10:9). It’s a simple step of faith that leads to a lifetime of transformation.

What Happens After Salvation?

Salvation is not the end—it’s the beginning of a brand‑new life. In Christ, you are forgiven, made new, and filled with the Holy Spirit. You become part of God’s family and begin a journey of growing in faith, discovering your purpose, serving others, and reflecting the love of Christ in everyday life (2 Corinthians 5:17). At Faith Tabernacle, we walk with you as you grow, learn, and live out your faith.
